Jump Ahead Pediatrics is actively seeking an English Language Learning Teacher to directly work for a school district near Totowa, New Jersey.

Position Overview:The English Language Learner Teacher (ELL) reports to the Student Services Manager, delivering mandated services to English Language Learners and students needing at-risk interventions. Collaborating with general education teachers, they implement the Hands on English curriculum, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure adherence to school policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement differentiated instruction for English Language Learners.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, supporting student learning and data analysis.
• Administer language proficiency assessments and use data to refine instruction.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Participate in collaborative curriculum development and professional learning communities.
• Maintain ELL records and provide guidance on curriculum modifications for ENL students.
• Build strong relationships with students and families, communicating regarding student progress, and actively participating in school functions.
• Take ultimate responsibility for student academic progress, adhering to IEP guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• New Jersey State teaching certification in Students with Disabilities, Special Ed, or ESL preferred.
• Teaching or student teaching experience in a school setting.
• Experience or interest in working with high-needs students preferred.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
